Cross Fest

East Orlando Cross Fest

The 2017 edition of Cross Fest is tentatively scheduled for December 9th and 10th. Stay tuned.

On November 12 and 13, 2016 we hosted the inaugural event of what we hope will become an annual classic. Located in East Orlando, the Lake Rise Actions Sports Center was an ideal location for an outdoor event, especially cyclocross. There was LOTS to do for riders, families and spectators. The facility is on a deep, clear lake, with a tow wire going all the way across for skiing and wake boarding.

Next year will probably not be held in November, as there were too many scheduling conflicts resulting in lower than expected attendance. Expect an announcement in January 2017 for the upcoming schedule.

The women's race was very competitive. In the foreground from L to R: Diane Blake, Christy Markel, Meghan Mackie. The barriers are a favorite spectator spot, as the riders need to dismount, carry their bikes over , and remount on the other side.
