This Saturday at 6:30am, July 20th, we’ll be hosting a 10 mile long training run in Avalon Park. This run is fully supported for food/drink, and is a no-drop format.
This means if you’re working on building base, and you’d like to run with a group, please come join us. NOBODY will be left behind, and you’ll have the gels/blocks/sports drink you need along the route.
I realize 10mi sounds like a long way. If you’ve been doing 3-5 at least a couple of times a week, you can do this distance. If you think this just a bunch of gorilla guys out to blast along at 6’s, that’s incorrect. This is a fun, properly paced run, with runners from 7’s to 12+ min mile paces.
If you’re a faster runner, there will be at least one person in the group (so far) that can do 7:00’s for that distance (me ) so you won’t be alone.
If you’re even faster, this is a no-drop format – faster people will do out-and-backs along the course.
